ARRANGER

With an ever-expanding portfolio of arrangements and orchestrations, Robin's arranging commissions arrangements vary from pop/classical crossover tracks for full symphony orchestra, to orchestrations of classical works and reductions for piano duet and chamber ensembles.

As a classical crossover artist, Robin has worked with many renowned artists such as Graham Gouldman of 10cc, Steve Diggle of The Buzzcocks, Cleopatra, and Rowetta from Happy Mondays. His arrangements have been played by renowned orchestras such as the BBC Philharmonic and broadcast nationally on stations such as BBC Radio 2. His recent project, 'Afrobeats Concerto', is currently available on BBC iPlayer. His orchestration collaborations have included Lyssa (2021), a dance collaboration with Nadine Shah / Ben Hillier for the Royal Opera House, choreographed by Tony & Olivier award nominee Lynne Page.

Robin is active in creating versions of well-known classical works for various ensembles, including reducing symphonic works for chamber ensemble and piano duet and expanding smaller works for larger ensembles. In particular, Robin is keen to expand the availability of lesser known symphonic works in piano duet form to increase their accessibility, such as the symphonies of Arnold Bax. His chamber orchestra reductions have already found a global market, most recently with a 13-player version of Dvorak's 8th symphony.

Robin is also available to work as an engraving consultant (working in Dorico and/or Sibelius) to help ensure clear, practical and smart scores and parts. Recent work in this area includes Grant Olding's score for Northern Ballet's Merlin.
